Fiji Catches Up On World Meteorology Day

In an ever changing climate having the ability to understand what might take place in our weather becomes more and more significant.

Small island nations like Fiji are constantly at risk of being catastrophically affected by changes in our climate. This reality makes an effective bureau of meteorology all the more significant.

There might be something to be said for the fact that Fiji’s celebration of world meteorology day was interrupted by a major meteorological event in the form of TC Winston.

After missing out of meteorology day in March the Fiji Met office has today held their event in Ba.

Ravine Kumar is the director of the Fiji Met office, he’s speaking here to Allison from the mid day show.
